COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The soggy weather is not going away anytime soon as the calendar turns to May.
The National Weather Service office in northern Indiana says the wet pattern will persist in our area through Thursday as upper level disturbances move along a front that will remain over the region.
Rainfall is expected to be heaviest over northwest Indiana into far southwest Lower Michigan.
Branch County is expected to get at least another inch of rain by Thursday.
Thunderstorms are also possible. Storms on Wednesday may produce small hail and gusty winds as high temperatures are expected to get into the low 70’s.
The web site www.accuweather.com says Tuesday was the sixth straight day of rain in Coldwater. The precipitation since last Thursday has brought Coldwater’s rainfall for the month to near normal levels.
Average temperatures for April have actually been two degrees above normal.
