COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Exchange Club has announced they will be honoring Ken Delaney of Midwest Communications with its Book of Golden Deeds award next Friday.
The award is in recognition of one’s giving of their time and talent to make the community a better place to live. The award was first presented in 1919 by an Exchange Club in Hamilton, Indiana.
Delaney has been in broadcasting for over 41 years, including the last 35 with AM 1590 and FM 95.5 WTVB.
He has covered and promoted events from just about every school, service club, church, and nonprofit organization in Branch County.
Delaney has interviewed local officials, state government lawmakers as well as members of the U.S. House and Senate.
Delaney and his wife Christine have been married for 31 years and have two sons, Jason and Sean.
The 2019 Book of Golden Deeds Award celebration will be held next Friday, May 10 at “The Occasion” which used to be the Reformation Lutheran Church at 430 West Chicago Street.
A social hour begins at 6:00 p.m. with dinner served at 7:00 p.m.
