COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The 32nd annual Coldwater Car Show and Swap Meet takes place next weekend at the Branch County Fairgrounds and organizers are hoping they will catch a break from Mother Nature this year after 2018’s soggy and chilly event.
As we saw last year, the event is held rain or shine. The bad weather in 2018 kept the attendance and number of vehicles down. Just over 400 classic vehicles showed up Saturday which was way down from the over 1,400 vehicles that showed up in perfect weather conditions in 2017.
One of the highlights of the weekend will be the annual cruise through the streets of Coldwater which will take place at 4:00 p.m. next Saturday.
The route for the cruise will be the same as in past years. The cruise will leave the Fairgrounds and go north on Jefferson and then west on U.S. 12. The cars then turn right on Marshall before turning left onto Grand and going north to Bishop. They will go west on Bishop before heading south on Western and then turning east on U.S. 12. They will then turn right onto Jefferson and head back to the fairgrounds.
