COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A Bronson area man will not go to trial on 12 counts of criminal sexual conduct after he entered guilty pleas to three charges on Friday in Branch County Circuit Court.
38-year old Neil Leroy Modert admitted his guilt to three counts of assault with intent to commit sexual penetration.
Modert is being held without bond in the Branch County Jail while he awaits sentencing.
He was arrested by the Michigan State Police at his home on November 28, 2018. Investigators say the victims were two girls and a boy.
Authorities say the investigation into Modert’s crimes began last April when a 13-year-old girl informed her mother what allegedly happened.
The mother then reported the case to Bronson Police, who then contacted Michigan State Police.
