COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – In high school track and field, Coldwater’s Elka Machan sets a school record for the second time in less than a week Wednesday in the Cardinals meet against Jackson Northwest and Pennfield. Her time of 5:05.9 in the 1600 broke Becca Schott’s 2012 record of 5:13. Machan set the school record in the 3200 last Friday.

Union City hosted Quincy and Bronson on Wednesday night. The Quincy girls beat Bronson 82-55 and Union City 103-33. The Quincy boys beat Union City 97-44 and Bronson 93-39.

Quincy won the 400, 800 and the 3200 relays while Bronson won the 1600 relay.
