BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – Flying debris from a rubbish fire is believed to be the reason why a nearby shed burst into flames Thursday morning in Batavia Township.
Bronson Fire Chief Scott Wilber says his department was dispatched by Branch County 911 to a shed fire at 147 West Garfield Road just before 10:30 a.m..
A Lifecare Ambulance unit was the first on scene and found a nine by 12 foot shed engulfed in flames.
The siding of a nearby garage attached to a house was also on fire.
Bronson firefighters were able to quickly put out the fire thus preventing any interior damage to the garage.
Damage was estimated at $4,000 to the buildings and $1,000 to the contents of the shed.
Crews were on the scene for 45 minutes. There were no injuries.
