COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – It’s become a Mother’s Day weekend tradition in Branch County. The 32nd Annual Swap Meet and Car Show at the Branch County Fairgrounds takes place Saturday and Sunday.
Poor weather conditions last year led to a drop off in classic cars and spectators but the event is always held rain or shine.
If the weather turns bad, there is always the swap meet to fall back as over 300 vendors are scheduled to be on hand.
Gates open both Saturday and Sunday at 8:00 a.m..
Saturday’s activities include the Blessing of the Bikes at 12:00 noon, a muffler rap and open header contest at 1:00 p.m. and the cruise through the streets of Coldwater at 4:00 p.m.
The route for the cruise will be north on Jefferson and then west on Chicago before the cars turn right on Marshall. They will then turn left onto Grand and then go north to Bishop. They will go west on Bishop before heading south on Western before turning east on U.S. 12. They will turn right onto Jefferson and head back to the fairgrounds.
Sunday’s activities include the Grand Prize drawing at 3:00 p.m for those who have registered show cars or bikes.
