COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Sunshine and warmer conditions Saturday gave way to cloudy and wet conditions Sunday across the the Branch County area, with the National Weather Service predicting possible thunderstorms late Sunday afternoon and into the evening.
Once the rain moves through Sunday night, temperatures are expected to drop for the beginning of the week, with the high Monday only in the low to mid 50’s.
Meantime out west, a potent spring storm system is expected to produce severe thunderstorms Monday in the central and southern Plains. Very large hail, damaging wind gusts, flash flooding, and large tornadoes are possible. The area most likely to experience significant tornadoes stretches from the Texas Hill Country through Oklahoma into southern Kansas.
