MACKINAC ISLAND, MI (WTVB) – A longtime member of the Coldwater Township Sunrise Rotary Club was honored over the weekend at the Rotary District 6360 Conference on Mackinac Island, after Mike Beckwith was named as a 2019 Rotary Hero for the local club.
Beckwith is a former club president and has been a club member for 20 years.
Over the years, he has prepared the club’s weekly bulletins and has headed the summer golf outing which is one of the Sunrise Rotary Club’s largest fundraisers.
Beckwith has served as the Superintendent of the Branch Intermediate School District and is now a member of the BISD Board of Education.
He also serves on the Coldwater City Council and is on the Board of Directors of the Tibbits Opera Foundation and Arts Council.
