Wilma Alvina
Williams, 91, of Coldwater, formerly of Westland, passed away Thursday, May
16, 2019 at Hillsdale County Medical Care Facility.
A memorial service
will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at Ft. Custer National
Cemetery in Augusta, Michigan.
The family is being cared for by Dutcher Funeral
Home in Coldwater.
Wilma was born on
August 12, 1927 to Richard and Myrtle (Maybrey) Foreman in Bronte, Ontario,
Canada. She graduated from Detroit Cooley High School and also from the Detroit
Business Institute.
She was employed
with the Michigan Employment Security Commission in Detroit for over 30 years.
Wilma was an avid bowler, she loved animals, especially dogs. She also enjoyed
reading, jigsaw puzzles, swimming, being in the sun, visiting lighthouses,
flower gardening, following the Detroit Tigers and the Detroit Red Wings.
Wilma is survived
by her children; Susan Gordinier of Westland, James G. (Laurie) Bates of Snellville,
Georgia, Thomas W. (Janet) Bates of S. Lyon and Cheryl (Lonney) Evon of
Coldwater, her 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in
death by her parents, her first husband James E. Bates and her second husband
Ronald A. Williams, her granddaughter LeAnn Bates, her siblings Myrna
Rietzloff, Edward G. Foreman and William “Bill” Foreman and her son in law Gary
Gordinier.
Memorial

County Medical Care Facility.
