Janet M. Schlautmann, 79, of Bronson, passed away Monday,
May 20, 2019 at Glenn Arbor Hospice Residence in Battle Creek. No services will
be held at this time. Cremation services have been provided by Dutcher Funeral
Home.
Janet was born June 28, 1939 in Burr Oak, MI to Mathias
& Mary (Mathews) Modert. She married Frederick Schlautmann, Sr. on June 23,
1956 in Bronson.
Mrs. Schlautmann was a dedicated wife, mother and
homemaker. She had also cooked at the
former Bronson Bowling Alley. Janet was a member of St. Mary of Assumption
Church and enjoyed reading. She and her husband enjoyed spending the winter
months in Florida for the past 20 years.
Janet
is survived by her husband Frederick, her children Douglas (Bonnie) Schlautmann
of Bronson, Jacqueline Fry of Constantine, Cindy (Clifford) Dunham, Fred (Hope)
Schlautmann, Jr., Joe (Debbie) Schlautmann, Teresa (Jim) Evans all of Bronson,
her siblings Norma (David) Diggins of TX, Randy (Darlene) Modert of Sturgis,
Rolland (Linda) Modert of Bronson and many grand and great grandchildren. She
was preceded in death by her brothers Richard and Ronnie Modert and sisters
Shirley Modert and Thelma Root.
