COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Tibbits Opera House will be hosting a regional meeting with representatives from other historic venues Thursday in Coldwater.
Tibbits Executive Director Christine Delaney said during Wednesday’s meeting of the Coldwater Downtown Development Authority Board of Directors that the meeting will include historic venue representatives from Michigan, Indiana and Ohio who are members of the League of Historic American Theatres.
Those attending will discuss common issues and share ideas and opportunities.
The first such meeting was held last September at the Embassy Theatre in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
The meeting is scheduled to include a panel discussion on fundraising and funding sources for theaters. There will also be a session for an exchange of ideas and issues affecting theaters.
The Embassy in Fort Wayne and the State Theater in Kalamazoo are joining the Tibbits as hosts for the event.
