COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Hundreds gathered at ceremonies across Branch County Monday to mark Memorial Day.
In Coldwater, the day started with a half hour long presentation at the Four Corners Park, followed by a parade through downtown, a special ceremony throwing flowers off the U.S. 12 bridge on Coldwater’s west side to honor those lost at sea, a short ceremony at the north Oak Grove Cemetery, and a longer ceremony at the Gathering of Flags Memorial at the south Oak Grove Cemetery.
Parades and ceremonies were also held in Quincy and Union City, along with a Memorial Day ceremony in Bronson.
