COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The first day of summer is officially a week from Friday but National Weather Service forecasters say autumn like weather will take hold later this week as high temperatures in Coldwater are expected to be almost 10 to 15 degrees below normal.
Normally, the highs get into the upper 70’s during the second week of June in Coldwater.
But forecasters are calling for highs only in the low 60’s Thursday and the upper 60’s Friday.
The forecast says it will remain unseasonably cool through the weekend with highs only near 70 degrees.
The eight to 14 day forecast from the National Weather Service is calling for below average temperatures and above normal precipitation in the Great Lakes region through June 23.
The web site www.accuweather.com says in its extended forecast that the highs in Coldwater next week will be in the 70’s. The site is also saying Coldwater won’t have a consistent run of 80 degree days until perhaps the second week of July.
