COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater City Council approved a resolution Monday night which awarded the Thompson Boulevard Extension and Street Resurfacing Project to Parrish Excavating of Quincy for just over $514,700.
The project is part of the city’s 2019-2020 fiscal year budget and will be funded through the city’s capital improvement fund and Act 51 street funds.
Thompson Boulevard will be completed between Pillsbury Avenue and Michael Drive. The city recently bought eight lots from the Branch Intermediate School District and seven from Jim Weiss along Thompson Boulevard in order to encourage and provide additional housing in the community.
The Parrish bid was the lowest of two bids received by the city.
