ANGOLA, IN (WTVB) – Three suspects have been charged in connection with the burglary of a home just west of Angola, Indiana during which a dog was shot and a cat was kicked causing injuries to both animals.
26-year-old David Householder of Brooklyn along with 21-year-old Vincent Chilcote of LaGrange, Indiana and 23-year-old Austin Cox of Kendallville, Indiana are all facing burglary charges. Chilcote and Cox are also facing 10 counts of theft of a firearm over $750 in value while Chilcote is facing two counts of torturing or mutilating an animal.
The Steuben County Sheriff’s Department says the initial complaint took place in the area of 500 North Gerald Lett Avenue just north of U.S. 20 last Friday.
A home surveillance video helped deputies and Angola Police officers locate a suspect vehicle about two miles north of the residence.
The Sheriff’s Department says they recovered numerous stolen items found in the vehicle. Other stolen items were found in a travel trailer at Buck Lake Ranch and in an area near Mongo.
