CONSTANTINE TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – A motorcyclist was killed late Sunday night in a multi vehicle accident near Constantine.
The Michigan State Police reports the crash took place on U.S. 131 and North River Road around 10:25 p.m.
Troopers say a 28-year-old man was driving his motorcycle south on 131 when a 29-year-old man, who was stopped at North River Road turned into the path of the motorcycle causing the motorcycle to collide with his vehicle.
The initial crash caused the driver of the motorcycle to be thrown into oncoming traffic where he was struck by a second vehicle which was driven by a 36-year-old woman who was traveling north on 131.
The Constantine Fire Department attempted life saving measures which were unsuccessful.
Troopers say the motorcyclist was wearing his helmet at the time of the crash. No other information is being released at this time.
