COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – It was a real soaker on Monday as Branch County got its first rainfall in eight days.
The MSU Extension weather gauge at the Bloom Dairy Farm recorded 2.9 inches of rain on Monday which brought the total for July measured at that location to 5.69 inches.
According to a map of precipitation during the 24 period ending at 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday that was posted at www.accuweather.com, most of Branch County got between one and two inches of rain with the far northeast corner of the county getting nearly three inches. To the south, 1.4 inches of rain was reported at Angola.
Most of the rain in July has been measured on two days at the Bloom Dairy Farm. A total of 1.35 inches was measured on July 16th.
No rain has been measured on 19 of the first 29 days in July.
