COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A Bronson woman entered a guilty plea to a charge of embezzlement Monday in Branch County Circuit Court as part of a plea agreement with prosecutors.
28-year-old Amanda Snyder admitted her guilt to a charge of embezzlement by an agent or trustee of $1,000 or more but less than $20,000. A second count of embezzling over $100,000 was dropped by the Branch County Prosecutor’s Office in exchange for the guilty plea.
Snyder is scheduled to be sentenced September 30, 2019.
She was employed as a bookkeeper at D and L Tooling in Bronson. The company went out of business last year, which cost seven people their jobs. The property on North Matteson Street, along with its equipment, was auctioned off in December.
