COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Another school year starts across most of Branch County in less than two weeks, and sixth through 12th grade students will again be receiving career counseling this year.
Susan Sobeske is beginning her second year in a newly created position as Career Development Consultant for the Branch Intermediate School District and is scheduled to meet with each of the students in Coldwater, Bronson, and Quincy and Pansophia Academy. The sessions include sixth through 8th graders at St. Charles Borromeo School in Coldwater and St. Mary’s Assumption School in Bronson.
Sobeske told members of the Coldwater Township Sunrise Rotary Club at their meeting last week that she is especially excited about her work with middle school students. According to Sobeske, she investigates what their interests and talents are, and encourages them to develop those talents into a career.
Sobeske has been spent more than two decades in education, most of which was at the Branch Area Careers Center as a teacher for 11th and 12th graders.
