Delight Lyons, 89, of Laingsburg, MI and formerly of Quincy,
passed away Thursday, August 8, 2019 at Country Crossing Adult Care in
Laingsburg. She was born February 26,
1930 in Rochester, MI to Juan and Marguerite Hurtado. She married Harry Albert Lyons in 1948 and he
preceded her in death in 1963.
Delight was a lifelong employee at the Coldwater State Home
until she retired in 1980. She was a
member of Sweet Adeline’s. She was a friend of Bill W’s and celebrated 41 years
of sobriety on May 10, 2019.
Survivors include five daughters, Vickie Lloyd of
Laingsburg, Mona Rogers of Litchfield, Patty Wallace of Battle Creek, Dawn
(David) Mosby of Quincy, and Dawn VanAken of Lansing; 16 grandchildren, 32
great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Delores
McCullen.
Delight was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harry
Albert Lyons; son Harry Byron Lyons; and grandsons, Tater Jaspers and Samuel
Joseph Worrell.
Funeral services for Delight Lyons will be held
Monday, August 12, 2019 at 3:00 PM at the Eagle Funeral Home-George White
Chapel in Quincy with Pastor Mike Brudney officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset View Cemetery
in Jonesville. The family will receive
friends for visitation on Monday from 1:00 PM until the time of service at the
funeral home.
