SHERWOOD TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – Michigan State Police say they are investigating a suspicious vehicle fire which took place last Sunday at about 7:00 p.m. near the 1800 block of Blossom Road in Sherwood Township.
The damage from the fire was so extensive that the State Police Fifth District Auto Theft unit had to be called in to help identify it.
It was determined on Friday that the vehicle was a 2001 Ford F-150 pickup truck that was reported stolen in Ohio on July 15th.
Troopers say witnesses reported seeing two vehicles in the immediate area when the fire was discovered. One of the vehicles was found and the driver contacted. They are still looking for the second vehicle.
