COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Branch County employers can provide input towards a long-term strategy to strengthen the regional workforce by taking a needs survey through the first week of September, which can be found on the municipal websites of Bronson, Coldwater, Quincy and Union City as well as the website of the Coldwater Area Chamber of Commerce.
Employer feedback is critical to locating training gaps, identifying skills that are in demand, and planning how to best prepare the regional workforce to find jobs locally.
Next steps could include altering when and where existing trainings or certification courses are held, or it could lead to the creation of new training services.
The workforce training needs survey is the product of collaboration among several stakeholders in the county: Kellogg Community College Grahl Center, the Branch County Economic Growth Alliance, The City of Bronson, the Village of Quincy, The City of Coldwater, Branch Area Careers Center, and Michigan Works! Southwest.
