UNION CITY, MI (WTVB) – A bicyclist was injured Thursday morning following an apparent hit and run accident at Union City and Cady Roads.
The Branch County Sheriff’s Department is investigating after the accident was reported at about 9:30 a.m..
The injured bicyclist was reported to be a male. The age is unknown.
At last report, police were looking for a red or maroon colored pickup truck that may have an elderly driver and passenger side mirror damage.
The vehicle was last seen heading east on Union City Road.
Thursday’s hit and run accident was the second in Branch County in nearly 24 hours.
A 68-year-old Litchfield woman escaped with minor injuries Wednesday morning when her car was struck by a SUV at Sprague and Washington in Coldwater. Police say the suspect vehicle disobeyed a stop sign and took off in an unknown direction after hitting the woman’s car.
