QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – The Quincy Village Council is scheduled to go through presentations from three search firms Tuesday night as they begin the process of finding a new village manager.
Eric Zuzga has stepped down from the position after accepting a job with the City of Marshall although he will still be helping out on a part time basis over the next few months.
The Michigan Municipal League, GovHR and Walsh Municipal Services have all submitted proposals to the Village.
Depending on a number of factors, the M.M.L. said in their presentation that it would normally take four months to have the new village manager in place while GovHR and Walsh listed shorter timelines of about three months.
In other business on Tuesday’s agenda, the Village Council is scheduled to vote on the available provisioning medical marijuana center license. A village ordinance allows for three provisioning center licenses in Quincy. They were approved last February, but the license for EAN Development north of the McDonald’s Restaurant was revoked by the Village Council earlier this month because of what village officials felt was inaction by the applicant.
