COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Because he is building a new home in Fremont, Indiana and moving out of the jurisdiction, John Schroll stepped down Tuesday night as the Coldwater Board of Public Utilities Board of Directors President after serving on the board for 35 years.
Schroll’s recommendation that Chris Stevens take over as the new Board President was approved. Scott Ohm was named as the Vice President.
Scroll has served on the CBPU board since August 1984 and has been the Board President since 1998. His current term expires in May 2022. Mayor Tom Kramer will have to appoint his replacement and then have it approved by the City Council.
Schroll also served on the Branch Intermediate School District Board of Education for 22 years before retiring as the Board President in February 2017.
