COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – In boys high school soccer, Coldwater won their home opener Wednesday 4-3 over Tecumseh, as they scored all their goals in the first half to even their record at 1-1.
Ayash Ahmed scored twice for the Cardinals. Mubarak Said and Amine Mohammed also scored for Coldwater. Koby Stewart and Brady Travelbee each had one assist.
Goalkeeperr Ahmed Salem made six saves.
The Cardinals will play Plainwell Saturday in the first round of the Eaton Rapids Division Two Tournament in East Lansing.
The Coldwater junior varsity team also won, beating Tecumseh 9-1 as Brayden Boyd scored four goals. Joseph Closson had three goals while and Naja Norman scored twice.
The JV team will play in the Marshall JV Invitational Saturday.
