John W. Kurtz, 80, of Coldwater, passed away Monday, August
26, 2019 at Maple Lawn. The funeral service will be held Friday, August 30,
2019 at 11:00 AM at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater with Pastor Bob Ward from
the First Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Grove
Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday,
August 29, 2019 from 3-7:00 PM at Dutcher Funeral Home.
John was born August 20, 1939 in Kalamazoo, MI to Richard
& Mary (Watson) Kurtz. He married
Rosalee Bellman on October 24, 1959 in Bremen, IN.
Mr. Kurtz owned and operated Advanced Auto Sales, R & J
Leasing and Advanced Wrecker Service and Truck Repair for over 25 years,
retiring in 2003.
John attended the First Baptist Church in Coldwater and was
an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time on the lake.
John is survived by his wife Rosalee, his son Rodney (Dusty
McCollough) Kurtz of Coldwater, his brothers Richard (Sandy)Kurtz of Richland,
Harry (Dee) Kurtz of Leesburg, FL, Kenneth (Diane)Kurtz of Coldwater, his
sister Ruth Ann Kurtz of Coldwater and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister
Charlene Thomas.
