ALGANSEE TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – One of the largest dairy operations in the area will be on display Saturday, with plenty of ice cream part of the fun. Preston Family Farms will host their tenth annual Farm Tour and Ice Cream Social Saturday afternoon from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
Five generations of the Preston family have operated the farm in Algansee Township, which is located on East Central Road at Ferguson Road
Everything on Saturday will be free, and that includes the ice cream.
Over 100 volunteers from the agricultural community will be helping out.
There will be wagon tours around the farm, introductory dairy animal care information, farm-oriented activities and plenty of hands-on opportunities.
Preston’s annual farm tour has developed into one of Branch County’s premiere agricultural events, with approximately 1,600 people in attendance the past two years.
