QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – The Village of Quincy is accepting letters of interest from village residents to fill positions on the Village Council, Joint Zoning Board of Appeals and the Joint Planning Commission.
Those interested should submit a letter of interest to Village Clerk/Treasurer Tricia Rzepka.
The deadline for the Village Council position is Tuesday, September 10, 2019.
Village Council members are compensated $100 per regularly scheduled council meeting which are held on the third Tuesday of each month.
The Joint Zoning Board of Appeals position pays $50 per meeting. The board meets periodically through the year and considers different requests from Village and Township property owners.
The Joint Planning Commission reviews issues related to land use and recommends actions to the Village Council and Quincy Township Board. Meetings are held the second Thursday of the month at 7:00 p.m..
Just like the Joint Zoning Board of Appeals, Joint Planning Commission members are paid $50 per meeting.
