BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – The Bronson Fire Department took to social media this week to show off their new fire engine.
The department posted a video on their Facebook page featuring Chief Scott Wilber giving a tour of the new FX pumper.
The new Engine 3 is replaces a 1997 pumper.
Wilber pointed out in the video that the paint scheme includes black which breaks up the lime green.
Wilber is pleased with the amount of storage space for gear in the truck which was manufactured by the Rosenbauer Group.
The truck also features a 1,500 gallon portable tank. Other features give firefighters easier access to storage and their tools.
The Bronson Area Fire Association and the Bronson Fire Department Engine 3 Committee supported the project.
Besides the City of Bronson, the Bronson Fire Department covers six townships. The entire area covers about 192 square miles.
