COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A Facebook fundraiser has been started for the family who are now without a home after a fire caused major damage to the residence where they were renting at 142 Burch Road late Thursday afternoon.
The fire that was reported just after 4:00 p.m. gutted the kitchen area of the residence.
Darci McGinnis says her brother David Weller, his fiancé, and their five children are in desperate need of funding. She says she is trying to raise money to get them back on their feet and that any donation is never too small.
She said on our Facebook page that they have an overwhelming amount of clothing donations at this time.
The five children are between three months and 16 years old and relatives say the family lost everything in the fire.
Another sister B.J. LaPratt said on her Facebook page that if anyone knows of a house for rent or wants to donate anything to them to please let her know.
