COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The owners of a new restaurant on Coldwater Lake are telling patrons to be patient as they continue make preparations to open.
It was hoped Vita’s Cafe & Castaway Lounge at 632 Lake Drive was going to open in August.
In a post on their Facebook page, it was stated that all of the equipment was in place but repairs still have to be made.
Because they are installing a number of fryers, the fire suppression system has to be updated. An inspection also has to be conducted before the restaurant can open.
No opening date has been announced yet but the operators are saying they plan on sticking around for a while.
The building used to be the site of the Boathouse, The Wharf, and Nuevo Vallarta Bar and Grill.
Susan Lindmann of Fort Wayne will be running the restaurant which will be open year round.
