DEARBORN, MI (WTVB) – AAA Michigan says the average price for gas in the state is up slightly after a drop over the Labor Day holiday.
They say the average price is up a nickel to $2.66 a gallon, which is down 27 cents from this time last year.
AAA Michigan’s Adrienne Woodland says prices are expected to drop thanks to the switch to winter blends and a lower demand.
Gas Buddy reports that as of Sunday night, prices in Branch County were between $2.54 and $2.64 a gallon.
It might be worth the trip to Sturgis as gas is selling there for as low as $2.20 a gallon.
