COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – One of three suspects in a December 2018 break-in of a Union City business was sentenced to prison Monday in Branch County Circuit Court.
27-year-old Nikolas Shreve of Kalamazoo was ordered to serve 23 months to five years in the Michigan Department of Corrections after he entered a guilty plea to receiving and concealing stolen property between $1,000 and $20,000. A charge of Breaking and Entering with Intent charge was dismissed by prosecutors in exchange for his guilty plea.
Shreve was given credit for 178 days already served in jail but he was ordered to pay over $2,600 in restitution.
He was arrested in connection with the December 28, 2018 theft of $220 in cash and items from Ed’s Auto and Trailer Sales.
