Leo B. Hoard, 88, of Bronson, passed away Wednesday,
September 11, 2019 in Coldwater.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 17,
2019 at 11:00 AM at Dutcher Funeral Home in Bronson with Pastor Jim Erwin from
Bethel Gilead Church officiating.
Interment will follow at Matteson Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, September 16,
2019 from 4-8:00 PM at Dutcher Funeral Home in Bronson.
Leo was born August 8, 1931 in Sturgis, MI to Weldon &
Jeanette (Davis) Hoard. He served in the
US Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. Leo married Joyce J. Bucklin on
May 22, 1954 in Bronson. She preceded him in death on September 7, 2014.
Leo worked for the Branch County Road Commission for 35
years, retiring as manager in 1993. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed
hunting, fishing and working in his yard.
Leo is survived by his children Leroy(Julie) Hoard of
Bronson, Jim (Janis) Hoard of Union City, Ray (Brenda) Hoard of Burr Oak, Mike
(Charity) Hoard of Coldwater, his grandchildren Lucas Hoard, Megan (Noah)
Meyers, Brandy (David) Orris, Justin (Laura) Hoard, Shannon (Kalan) Nutt, Adam
Hoard, Aaron Hoard, Maegan (Matt) Sortland and Tori Hoard; his great
grandchildren Jack , Olivia & Emma Orris, Hudson & Grayson Hoard,
Bailey & Jameson Hoard, Kash & Ivan Nutt, Fielder Meyers and Flynn
Sortland. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his
granddaughter Jennifer Hoard and his brothers Cleo, Leon and Leonard Hoard.
