JACKSON, MI (WTVB) – In boys high school soccer, Coldwater improved to 3-2 in the Interstate 8 Conference with a 2-1 win at Jackson Northwest Thursday night.
The Cardinals got the opening goal of the game with 15 minutes to play in the first half from Ayash Ahmed, assisted by Mubarak Said. Northwest tied the score three minutes into the second half, but Said got the winning goal for Coldwater with 12 minutes to play in the game, assisted by Mohamed Aljabaly.
Ahmed Salem made two saves in goal, as Coldwater outshot the Mounties 21-6 and improved their overall record to 7-5.
They will host Jackson Lumen Christi Tuesday in the cancer awareness Purple Game at 6:30 p.m.
