COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch Board of Commissioners Thursday voted to bring forward during their work session three staffing requests from the Commission on Aging.
One request would increase the number of hours the In Home Service Director would work from 35 to 40 hours a week.
COA Executive Director Amy Duff says they are trying to satisfy two needs. One would allow for additional time so that the needs of clients and employees be met. Secondly, this would improve safety by having at least two staff members at all times including at closing time.
If approved, the change would go into effect October 1, 2019.
The other staffing requests were to maintain the bookkeeping position at the Commission on Aging at 40 hours a week and to fill a vacancy for a part time aide.
Commissioners are scheduled to take formal action on the requests during their regular meeting next Tuesday.
