Virginia Lee McLatcher, 88, of Coldwater, passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2019 surrounded by her loving family at home.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 22, 2019 from
2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater. Funeral
services will take place at 11:00 AM, Monday, September 23, 2019 with a
visitation beginning at 10:00 AM at the funeral home, Pastor Shayne Looper
officiating.
Interment will follow at
Knauss Cemetery in Kinderhook Township.
Virginia was born on June 10, 1931 to Fred Milbourne and Gladys
(McClure) Cline in Jackson. She was a graduate of Quincy High School. Virginia
married Martin McLatcher on February 4, 1951 in Coldwater.
She had been employed at Shaw Shoe in Coldwater and then at
Acorn Manufacturing in Quincy. Virginia loved to bake and also decorate cakes.
She enjoyed cooking, dancing, playing cards, reading romantic novels,
crocheting and fishing. Virginia was especially fond of her Boston Terriers.
Virginia is survived by her husband of 68 years, Martin, her
children; Beverly (Gerald) Motzer of Shelby Twp., Linda Zinn of Coldwater,
Gloria Grandy of Coldwater and James (Royann) McLatcher of Angola, Indiana, her
13 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren, her
siblings; Clarsia Haas of Argos, Indiana, Gary Milbourne of Spring Arbor,
Dennis (Yvonne) Milbourne of New Bern, N. Carolina and Greg (Marie) Milbourne
of Jerome.
She was preceded in death by her father Fred Milbourne, her mother
Gladys Cline, her son Freddie McLatcher, her step brothers, Doug and Louis Milbourne
and her son in laws, Scott Zinn and Ralph Grandy.
