CONCORD, MI (WTVB) – In high school cross country, Bronson, Quincy and Union City competed at the Big 8 Conference Jamboree hosted by Concord Tuesday.
Bronson finished third in the boys race behind Concord and Jonesville while Quincy was fifth and Union City was eighth. Four Bronson runners finished in the top 15. Luis Ortiz was fifth, Ashton Wells was 12th, Aden Hathaway was 13th and Reagan Mayer was 15th.
Three Quincy runners had top 15 finishes. Erik Butchart was sixth, Rhett Reif was seventh and Jacob Reif was 11th. Colin Priest of Union City was 38th.
Bronson was second in the girls race as they finished 10 points behind Jonesville for first place. Quincy was fifth and Union City was eighth. Bronson had four runners in the top 15. Abby Ware was fifth, Grace Welch was seventh, Danis Silva was 13th and Alison Fish was 14th.
Quincy was led by Avery Rufenacht as she finished fourth. Trinity Connin of Union City was 38th.
