KALAMAZOO, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater High School girls swim and dive team got back to .500 mark on the season with a 115-70 win at Kalamazoo Central Tuesday night.
The Lady Cards are now 4-4 on the season. Coldwater won 11 of the 12 events.
Bringing home wins for Coldwater were Paige Kirkpatrick in the 200 Freestyle, Legend Szafranski in the 200 Individual Medley and 100 Butterfly, Randi Dudek in the 50 Freestyle, Leah Goodwin in diving, Jillian McKinley in the 100 Freestyle and 100 Backstroke and Anna DeMeester in the 100 Breaststroke.
Also the relay teams of Dudek, DeMeester, McKinley and Maysn Marsh won the 200 Medley, DeMeester, Kirkpatrick, Mia Rzepka, and Dudek won the 200 Freestyle, and Kirkpatrick, Marsh, Rzepka, and McKinley won the 400 Freestyle.
Leah Goodwin also broke her own team record in the 1 meter dive event scoring a 198.25.
Coldwater swims again Saturday at their first ever invite hosted at the Browne Aquatic Center. It is also their Drown Out Cancer event where there will be a raffle and drawing to raise money for their cancer fundraiser.
