HILLSDALE TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – A Hillsdale teenager was killed Wednesday afternoon after a pair of vehicles collided at the intersection of Lake Wilson and Hallett Roads in Hillsdale County.
Michigan State Police say after a 1993 Chevrolet pickup truck collided with a 1999 Dodge Durango at about 2:15 p.m., the pickup truck then went off the road and struck the garage area of a nearby residence on Hallett Road.
The driver of the pickup truck, a 17-year-old male from Hillsdale, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the Dodge, a 28-year-old man from Hillsdale, was transported to Hillsdale Hospital for treatment.
No names are being released at this time as the crash remains under investigation.
Troopers were assisted by the Hillsdale Rural Fire Department, Reading Emergency Unit, the Hillsdale County Sheriff’s Office and the Hillsdale County Sheriff’s Office Victim’s Services Unit.
