QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – A Quincy man is facing six sex crime charges following an investigation into his online activity by the Michigan State Police Computer Crimes Unit and the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force which is located in Coldwater.
27-year-old Peter Casey is facing charges of first degree criminal sexual conduct and second-degree criminal sexual conduct. The alleged victim in both counts is under the age of 13.
He is also facing charges of aggravated sexual abuse on a child, possession of sexually abusive material involving a child, using a computer to commit a crime and using the internet to communicate a crime with another.
MLive.com reports he is being held without bond in the Kalamazoo County Jail following his arraignment this week.
The Task Force Office in Coldwater says the arrest took place after they followed up on a National Center for Missing & Exploited Children tip involving Facebook activity and the alleged creation and sharing of child sexually abusive material between Casey and his girlfriend Shannon Moore of Kalamazoo.
She was arrested in May as she was accused of sexually abusing a child, recording it, and then sharing it. She was charged with first-degree criminal sexual conduct, child sexually abusive activity and for using a computer to commit a crime.
