COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Branch County Administrator Bud Norman told the county Board of Commissioners during their work session Friday that so far three people have submitted information about replacing Commissioner Don Vrablic. Vrablic is stepping down from the board, effective next Friday.
Norman did not name the three. Commissioner Terri Norris wants the seat filled as soon as possible after next Friday, since the end of the year is coming up with budget and union negotiations still to be dealt with.
Norman was asked to present commissioners with information on potential replacements for Vrablic before their next work session November 7. He said commissioners must make an appointment within 30 days of Vrablic’s departure.
Since Vrablic and his wife have moved outside of the district he represents, he will be stepping down as County Commissioner October 25, 2019.
