COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Two teams who have already clinched post season berths will meet at Cardinal Field in Coldwater Friday night on the final night of the Michigan High School Football regular season.
The Temperance-Bedford Mules are 6-2 and will be making their fourth straight trip to the playoffs. The Coldwater Cardinals are 7-1 and they will be heading to the post season for the sixth time in the last seven seasons. Coldwater is hoping a victory in the regular season finale will help earn them a home game in the opening round of the districts next week.
The 256 team field will be announced by the MHSAA Sunday night. This is the final year of the six win playoff criteria in Michigan. Starting next year, playoff teams will be determined by a point system that is based on strength of schedule.
Coverage of Friday night’s game begins at 6:30 p.m. on AM 1590 and FM 95.5 WTVB as well as on line at https://wtvbam.com/local-sports-live/
