COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater City Council will be asked Monday night to approve a bid of just over $33,000 from Parrish Excavating of Quincy to perform demolition work of what are considered to be blighted properties at four locations.
Structures at 26 South Monroe, 25 Munson, 55 East Park Avenue and 35 Lucky Drive are scheduled to be torn down.
The City purchased the properties either from private sale or through the State of Michigan Property Tax Foreclosure process.
City Manager Keith Baker says funds for the work will come from the city’s Planning Department budget for blight elimination.
The city’s 2019-2020 fiscal year budget allocated $50,000 for blight removal.
