Robert “NY
Bob” Ruscalleda, 68, of Coldwater, passed away Thursday, October 24, 2019 at
ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital.
Funeral
services for Bob will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, October 31, 2019 at Dutcher
Funeral Home in Coldwater with Bill Hennessy officiating.
Visitation will take
place from 11:00 – 1:00 PM prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.
He was born
on March 5, 1951 to John Maira and Virginia (Marrero) Ruscalleda in New York,
New York. Bob served in the United States Navy from April 1, 1969 until June 3,
1970, attaining the rank of FA. He received the National Defense Service Medal.
Bob was
self- employed as a tile and floor installer in the Branch County area,
retiring in 2012.
He was a
longtime sponsor and spokesperson with AA, predominately in the communities of
Coldwater, Jonesville, Hillsdale, Sturgis and Battle Creek. Bob loved
dogs-especially Sammy, golfing, children, watching scary movies and sports,
baking chocolate cake, his culture and his family and friends. He will be
fondly remembered as a person who wanted to truly help others.
Bob is
survived by his brother; Ricardo Cerezo of Kissimmee, Florida and also, by
aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many close friends.
He was preceded
in death by his parents and a brother Raymond Cuevas.
