COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – There will be a nine-hole disc golf course at Heritage Park next spring, thanks to the efforts of a Coldwater High School junior who is also an Eagle Scout candidate.
Coldwater City Manager Keith Baker said during Monday night’s City Council meeting that Carson Perz raised nearly $4,000 and organized the disc golf course’s installation and design.
It’s hoped a ribbon cutting ceremony will be held either this fall or first thing next spring.
Baker said Perz has been working with Community Enrichment Director Julie Santure over the past few months on his Eagle Scout project.
He added the stanchions have been installed, the metal baskets have been purchased, and the signage is being prepared.
