COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Early Bird Exchange Club this week recognized its first Student of the Month for the new school year with the award for October being presented to an 8th grader at Legg Middle School who would like to pursue a career as a surgeon.
Lucas Wischmeyer received the Club’s Youth Citizenship Award at Wednesday morning’s Early Bird meeting. After high school, he hopes to receive a full college academic/athletic scholarship. Lucas is a very busy young man with studies and school activities, participating in swimming, football, baseball, and track, and has been in Youth in Government for all 3 years at Legg Middle School.
Outside of school, he is active in the Barracuda Swim Club, Redbirds baseball and the First Baptist Church youth group.
Lucas is the son of Kevin and Abbie Wischmeyer, and was accompanied by his mother for the award presentation at Wednesday’s weekly meeting of Coldwater Early Bird Exchange Club.
