COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Road to Ford Field starts Friday night as the Michigan High School Athletic Association football playoffs gets underway with pre-district games.
The Coldwater Cardinals will be making their sixth post season appearance in the last seven years as they’ll host the Pinckney Pirates in a Division Three, Region Three, District One game at Cardinal Field.
The 8-1 Cardinals have won six straight after a week three loss to Jackson Lumen Christi. The Pirates bring a 7-2 record into the game. They have made the post season in three out of the last four years. Both Coldwater and Pinckney made the 2019 playoffs after going 3-6 last season.
The winner of Friday’s game will face either Parma Western or Chelsea for the district title next week.
